PARIS, Oct. 10, 2017 -- Beyond Technologies—a global leader in SAP solutions and services—announced that The SAFO Group—a major player in the logistics and food distribution to the Antilles-Guyane—won the gold medal of the 2017 SAP Quality Awards for France, in the “Fast Delivery” category for the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Retail ® and SAP CAR® in just 11 weeks.
SAP, a market leader in enterprise software solutions, has rewarded SAFO during an award ceremony held on October 5, 2017, in Lille, during the USF convention (Utilisateurs SAP Francophones [Francophone SAP Users]).
This award is the result of a collaboration between SAFO and Beyond Technologies to support the rapid growth of the group and improve the overall operations of its 90 convenience stores, 14 supermarkets, 1 hypermarket, 3 wholesale stores, 2 brand-name agencies, 7 all temperature logistics platforms and a network of over 2,000 suppliers.
During a presentation in front a jury composed of USF and SAP France members, SAFO and Beyond Technologies demonstrated their skills in using quality principles before and throughout the project to secure and accelerate the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Retail® and SAP CAR®, while maximizing ROI and creating value for the SAFO Group.
The results are already outstanding:
- Production launch in 11 weeks
- Autonomous SAFO teams fully trained for in-store operations
- The latest SAP® solution (SAP S/4HANA Retail®), intuitive user experience (Fiori®) and mobile in-store solution
- Reconciliation of several heterogeneous operational models around a common solution
“We are proud to have accompanied the SAFO Group in this major transformation project, while meeting tight deadlines,” said Gregory Hermel, Chief Executive Officer of Beyond Technologies France. “We were very excited to meet a challenge of this scale and to once again leverage our SAP experience and our unique retail expertise. We are also honored to be associated with the SAP Quality Awards in France.”
“Our strategic decision to implement SAP with the help of Beyond Technologies has allowed us not only to improve all our operations, but also to lower the cost of opening new stores while also simplifying future openings,” said François Huyghues Despointes, General Director of SAFO. “This award reflects the Beyond Technologies teams’ expertise to successfully accompany us in our growth.”
Thanks to this SAP award in France, the SAFO Group is now qualified for the European SAP Quality Awards, in the Fast Delivery category, which will be announced in early 2018.
