Since the current season of “Riverdale” started, the characters have been worked up with finding a solution to end the horrors caused by the game Griffins & Gargoyles. And Betty (Lili Reinhart) might be an inch closer to finding a remedy in “Riverdale” season 3 episode 8.
To fans who are not caught up with the show yet, the third season introduced the board game called Griffins & Gargoyles. Its mechanics are being compared to Dungeons and Dragons but players’ wrong choices while playing can actually lead to their death. And in “Riverdale” season 3 episode 8, the horrors of the game will not get any less.
Unfortunately, the characters are nowhere close to stopping the murderous effects of Griffins & Gargoyles in “Riverdale” season 3 episode 8. That is despite earlier episodes, the current generation of Riverdale high schoolers have already sought help from their parents who turned out to be the first ones to play the game.
Teasers for “Riverdale” season 3 episode 8 reveal that Betty will stay in town to find more answers. It is still not yet clear who is going to join Betty in her quest but the episode synopsis assures she will be “inches closer to uncovering the truth about Griffins & Gargoyles.”
As Betty does more investigation, fear will once again shadow the town and the high school following another unexplained phenomenon. The “Riverdale” season 3 episode 8 promo video shows multiple students falling to the ground and having seizures. While that happens, expect an upcoming face-off between the group of Veronica (Camila Mendes) and Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) against Hiram (Mark Consuelos), Hermoine (Marisol Nichols) and Penelope (guest star Nathalie Boltt).
“Riverdale” season 3 episode 8 is also a special one for Jughead (Cole Sprouse). With nowhere else to go, the roads will lead Betty’s boyfriend to stay with his mother Gladys (Gina Gershon) and sister Jellybean (Trinity Likins).
Meanwhile, teasers for “Riverdale” season 3 episode 8 also confirmed it is going to be the official midseason finale of the series. It will be released on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
