Ubisoft devised a way to invite more gamers to try “Rainbow Six Siege” before the official release of “Ember Rise” next week. The online tactical shooter can now be downloaded and played for free until next week. Ubisoft is also offering big discounts for the game on all platforms.
‘Rainbow Six Siege’ for free; Where and how to download
The special free offer for “Rainbow Six Siege” started last Wednesday and will remain available for an entire week or until Sept. 4. All of the base game’s content can be accessed without paying anything, so players will get the complete experience and decide whether they want to buy the game ultimately.
There are several ways to download “Rainbow Six Siege” for free, depending on the gaming hardware. For PC users, the title is accessible through Ubisoft’s UPlay and Steam, Xbox One requires Xbox Live Gold subscription, and PS4 players can get it through the PlayStation Network.
The trial period ends on the same day for all platform, but there are varying deadlines. The “Rainbow Six Siege” free week, ends on Xbox One at 4 a.m. ET, on PS4 at 9 a.m. ET, and on PC at 4 p.m. ET.
‘Rainbow Six Siege’ sale: Major discounts on all platforms
Tied with the free week trial are major “Rainbow Six Siege” discounts available on all three platforms, too. So, naturally, any progress made until Sept. 4 can be carried over once a player decides to buy the full game. To convince more players into buying the game, Ubisoft is offering major price cuts that extend even after the free week.
Steam and Ubisoft’s online store are offering the standard edition of the game for only $7.99 or a 60 percent discount. The special offer is available until Sept. 5 on Steam and Sept. 10 on Ubisoft. Console players can get “Rainbow Six Siege” Deluxe Edition on Xbox and PS online stores for only $11.99 after a 70 percent price cut until Monday, Sept. 9.
‘Rainbow Six Siege: Ember Rise’ release date
These are good chances for players to join the final seasonal content to be released on “Rainbow Six Siege’s” fourth-year titled “Ember Rise.” It is anticipated to go live in early September and will bring in two new Operators named Amaru and Goyo. The Year 4 Pass is available at a 20 percent discount and currently priced $23.99 instead of $29.99.
