Quant (QNT) whales have begun moving millions of dollars worth of tokens to major cryptocurrency exchanges after the asset surged as much as 250%–400% over the past week.

Onchain data from Arkham Intelligence showed that two large QNT wallets, both inactive since 2023, suddenly resumed activity as the token’s rally attracted strong retail demand.

One address, identified as 0x6d32, transferred 8,250 QNT to Binance, valued at roughly $1.88 million at the time. Another wallet, 0xd633, moved 34,200 QNT worth approximately $8.05 million in several transactions. Of that amount, 9,000 QNT, valued at about $2.12 million, was deposited to Coinbase and Kraken.

Together, the wallets moved nearly $10 million worth of QNT, raising speculation that long-term holders were taking profits following the cryptocurrency’s explosive price increase.

The QNT rally accelerated after The Clearing House (TCH), a U.S. banking consortium whose members include JPMorgan, Citi and Bank of America, selected Quant as a technology partner for integrating tokenized deposits. TCH payment systems process roughly $2 trillion in transactions each day.

The announcement fueled speculative demand for QNT, whose total supply is limited to 14.6 million tokens. The cryptocurrency jumped from around $56–$74 to a peak near $373 before reversing some of those gains.

However, the TCH partnership centers on Quant’s interoperability software and infrastructure. The agreement does not require participating banks to purchase QNT on the open market or use the cryptocurrency directly for settlement.

That distinction may have encouraged some long-term holders to capitalize on the rally as market enthusiasm surged.

Profit-taking also coincided with leveraged long liquidations. At one point, approximately $430,000 in QNT long positions were liquidated within an hour as the token retreated.

QNT subsequently fell back into the $241–$253 range, highlighting the volatility following its dramatic rally. The dormant-wallet activity suggests some major holders viewed the sudden increase in liquidity and demand as an opportunity to realize gains after holding QNT for more than three years.
