“Prison Break” season 6 is one of the most popular American TV series, but fans were not able to see it after the fifth season as it went on hiatus. Now, after two years, it was reported that it is already in the works again, and this quashed the beliefs that it was already canceled.
Renewal and filming
The confirmation for “Prison Break” season 6 did not come at once when the previous ended. Rather, it was announced about a year after and it was Michael Thorn, FOX’s president of entertainment who broke the news to the fans during the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour last year.
The executive revealed that they are in the process of developing the new iteration of “Prison Break” season 6. It was later reported that filming had commenced in November 2018. Lead actor, Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows) also affirmed the start of the shoot by updating his social media with a picture of himself while on the set.
Plot
The plot for “Prison Break” season 6 is uncertain, but executive producer Paul Scheuring dropped clues as to what may happen in the upcoming episodes. He was talking about a story that they were not able to use in season 5, and as he narrated the scenario, there is a big possibility that they will use it now.
Based on what he said, “Prison Break” season 6 could tell the story of how Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) might work for the CIA after he was cleared of all the cases and freed from the prison. He will be thankful for the immunity granted to him and may resume being an ordinary person who simply wishes to live a simple life with his wife Sara and their son, Mike Jr.
But on a negative note, Michael may not be able to get the peaceful life he wants because he may still be haunted by his experiences and would struggle to live a normal life.
Release date
Dominic Purcell often updates fans if there is news to share about “Prison Break” season 6 and since may people are asking when exactly it is airing, he posted a picture of himself and Wentworth Miller and they were pointing at each other while the caption reads: “So when is #prisonbreak6 coming back?” It seems that they do not know either so fans could just sit back and wait a little longer for the announcement.
