‘Prison Break’ season 5’s episode 3, titled "The Liar," will follow Sara as she discovers that she is Poseidon’s target and that there are some people following her after she is ambushed by T-Bag. Meanwhile, actor Wentworth Miller recently explained on a recent interview how his character Michael Scofield has changed since viewers last saw him.
The synopsis for “The Liar” posted on TV Guide reads, “When T-Bag (Robert Knepper) ambushes Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies), he warns her that two of Poseidon's henchmen, Van Gogh (Steve Mouzakis) and A&W (Marina Benedict), may be following her.
Meanwhile, Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) attempts to retrieve his confiscated passport to escape Yemen; and Michael (Wentworth Miller) plans his next move.”
The upcoming episode will follow Sara as she discovers that she is being hunted down by some of Poseidon’s lackies after T-Bag manages to ambush her. It seems that T-Bag has his own plans to secure Sara’s safety considering her present situation. In the previous episode, titled “Kaniel Outis,” Sara received Michael's message to get everyone to a safe place since "a storm is coming.”
Lincoln is also plotting his bold new strategy that includes retrieving his confiscated passport in order to escape from Yemen.
Meanwhile, the series’ main actor Wentworth Miller told Entertainment Weekly how his character Michael Scofield changed since viewers last saw him in the previous seasons. Miller explained, “He’s walked a dark road. He’s always been a character that has put other people first, to sacrifice himself is part of his, “Who am I?” But in the years since we last saw him, he’s been a part of some deep, dark government funded plots and plans, and that’s left a mark on him.”
He continued, “I think he’s a marked man, which has always been the poetry of the show, that the tattoos on his skin are reflective of his journey, his progression. I think he is tortured by some of the things that he’s seen, that he’s participated in, and the question of how do I make that right, how I wash my hands clean, much like in the first go around, is front and center. His primary goal is getting back to his family, regaining what’s he lost, what he was made to sacrifice.”
Miller added that Michael is not the person his brother, Lincoln, once knew. Despite the years that hardened him, he still has some vulnerability left in him and has created a new family for himself.
During an interview with Collider, Miller’s co-star Dominic Purcell revealed that he was open to doing another season of the popular serial television drama with one condition. Purcell said, “We’re open to the idea of the possibility of a Season 6, only if it’s honoring the legend of Prison Break, which is very hard to do.”
‘Prison Break’ season 5’s episode 3, titled "The Liar," is scheduled to air on Fox on April 18. It was directed by Maja Vrvilo. It will be followed by episode 4, titled "The Prisoner's Dilemma,” directed by Guy Ferland and scheduled to be released on April 25.
