“Price Cutter and our family of stores are very excited and committed to work alongside Make-A-Wish and Kretschmar to grant a wish for a child here in Southwest Missouri. Working to help children in our community has always been close to our hearts,” said Charlie Dunn, Marketing and Communications Director at Pyramid Foods. “This is our first time to work with Make-A-Wish, so we jumped at the opportunity when Kretschmar and Make-A-Wish reached out. Customers can visit any of our Price Cutter, Ramey, King Cash Saver, Country Mart, or Summer Fresh locations to help.”
Deli customers can also help by purchasing a Kretschmar Make-A-Wish Hero Club Sandwiches. All donations and proceeds will grant the wishes of local children like Brooklynn, a 6-year-old battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Her wish is to visit her favorite Florida theme park with her family.
“Kretschmar is committed to supporting the important efforts of Make-A-Wish and helping to make wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions, like Brooklynn,” said Mike Sargent, Senior Brand Manager, Kretschmar Deli. “We are privileged to have the opportunity to make this unforgettable experience possible with help from Make-A-Wish and Price Cutter.”
Most recently, Kretschmar helped send a young country music fan to the Country Music Awards in Nashville. 10-year-old Alyssa walked the red carpet and brushed elbows with some of her favorite stars.
Since 2012, Kretschmar has contributed over $315,000 to Make-A-Wish nationally and sponsored over ten wishes with local chapters. Along with its retail partners, Kretschmar has raised additional funding through sales of Make-A-Wish paper stars sold at stores' registers for $1 donations, employee donations and sandwich fundraisers. Those efforts have raised over $50,000, which was given to local Make-A-Wish chapters to grant more wishes.
