‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7 is set to reveal the real identity of the villain Uber A as promised by series’ mainstay Ashley Benson. The series is scheduled to return to Freeform on April 2017.
According to Huffington Post, Benson promised that the final season of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ will reveal the identity of the antagonistic Uber A. She admitted that she found out who the person behind “A” was only six months prior.
Benson said, “I think everyone kind of knew who ‘A’ was before we shot the finale,” explained Benson. “I think everyone kind of asked around and found out ... I’m very impatient and I love to know everything so, I had to figure it out.”
During a separate interview with People, the 26-year old actress said, “When I found out the ending, it was really shocking. You would never think that would even be possible… I think the fans are going to be really shocked. It completely came out of nowhere which was really cool. But everyone’s storyline kind of wraps up. There’s no way they will be able to figure it out!”
Uber A is the main antagonist of season 6B and season 7. The character sends ominous messages and threats to the members of the Liars to scare them enough into divulging the identity of Charlotte DiLaurentis’ killer.
Benson also revealed that although she was excited about taking some of her character Hanna Marin’s trendy wardrobe from the filming set, the actors weren’t allowed to bring them home. She said, “They didn’t let us take anything! I was really excited to take her clothes. But everything is owned by Warner Bros. so we couldn’t really do much there. I was so sad.”
According to Variety, season 7 of Freeform’s teen-drama and mystery television series is expected to return on April 18, 2017. It is set to feature the return of Benson as Hanna, Troian Bellisario as Spencer, Lucy Hale as Aria, Ian Hardin as Ezra, Shay Mitchell as Emily, Sasha Pieterse as Alison, Tyler Blackburn as Caleb, and Janel Parrish as Mona.
‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7 is set to be the series’ final run. The series is loosely based on the popular books of the same title, authored by Sara Shepard. It spawned a spin-off series, entitled ‘Ravenswood’, which was canceled after 10 episodes.
