‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 7’s episode 4, entitled “Hit and Run, Run, Run", will find Toby jumping back to investigate the “A” case while the Liars struggle to keep their recent murder hidden.
The synopsis posted on Carter Matt stated, “The PLLs desperately attempt to cover up their secret, and in turn, end up straining their relationships with their respective bed buddies by keeping them in the dark. While the aftermath of Haleb’s kiss weighs on Spaleb’s relationship, Spencer copes in ways she might later regret. Mona intervenes with the cover-up plan, for better or worse.”
Things take the turn for the worst as the Liars attempt to cover up accidentally killing off Elliot (Huw Collins). It seems that the girls will be struggling with trying to keep their deadly secret hidden especially since Toby (Keegan Allen) will be jumping back on board the “A” case.
The incoming episode’s promo opened with the Liars running Elliot over with their car in the process of attempting to save Ali (Sasha Pieterse) from a sordid fate. They are then seen covering up their mistake by burying his body out in the woods. Spencer (Troian Bellisario) comments that they have become quite good with keeping their secrets hidden after “getting a lot of practice”.
Meanwhile, Toby figures out that Elliot is dead and continues to investigate further. The photographs on Wet Paint showed Spencer’s former flame back in uniform to investigate Elliot’s death. Toby is seen talking with the Liars and he doesn’t look very happy. Perhaps he is only explaining protocol or perhaps he may already know of the girls’ involvement in the murder.
It is obvious that he is torn between doing his job and defending his friends. It is also possible that Toby is doing some heavy convincing to prompt the girls to approach the rest of the police to confess. He is also clearly putting work first before his fiancé Yvonne and this may complicate things between them.
‘Pretty Little Liars’ is a teen drama and mystery television series loosely based on the novels of the same name authored by Sara Shepard. Season 7’s episode 4, entitled “Hit and Run, Run, Run", is scheduled to premiere on Freeform on July 12, 2016.
