The announcement of Pocophone F2 has been circulating in the rumor mill for the past months, but definitive proof of the device’s existence has yet to surface. That might be changing this week as reports spotted the rumored smartphone makes a brief appearance at the website of a well-known phone case brand.
Pocophone F2 leaks, design: Device greatly resembles Redmi K20?
The release of information leaks is a common occurrence in the tech industry. Specifically, in the smartphone market, there have been times when phone case makers were reliable sources of data and image leaks. This is why a recent report involving Spigen and a possible first-look on Pocophone F2 is worth reviewing.
Spigen purportedly listed a “rugged armor” case for Pocophone F2, as first reported 91Mobiles recently. The same report shared a screenshot of the product, but searching the keywords “Pocophone F2” and “Poco F2” now shows no results.
The phone case maker has likely taken down the product page but, luckily, various publications have already taken screenshots of the supposed Pocophone F2 protective case. If the image is accurate, the rumored device can be expected to bear great resemblance with another Xiaomi device, the Redmi K20.

Pocophone F2’s alleged phone case image shows that the device will not have a display notch because the selfie cameras will be placed in a motorized pop-up component. The same image suggests the rumored smartphone will have an in-display fingerprint scanner and triple-lens camera setup placed on the middle rear side of the device.
Pocophone F2 release date, specs: Mid-range smartphone with premium SoC arriving in 2019?
It is important to note that despite the relentless demand for an update on Pocophone F2, Xiaomi and the bosses of the POCO brand have been silent. They have not even recognized if the device is in development. So it is best to take the online leaks with a pinch salt.
However, further elevating the rumors is the same report’s claim that Pocophone F2 could be announced this month, specifically on Nov. 28. The device is speculated to be equipped with at least the Snapdragon 855 system-on-chip with a price tag that could be less than $375.
