“Peaky Blinders” Season 5 has already finished wrapping up production, which already has a ton of fans celebrating. Adding to that excitement is the prospect of “Peaky Blinders” Season 6, which is actually already being written. It would seem that the show’s writer, Steven Knight is intent on wasting no time getting the story, plots, and characters down to exactly how he wants them. Or rather, how they want themselves to be.
In a recent interview, Knight provided insight into where he is right now with regards to “Peaky Blinders” Season 6, Esquire reported earlier this year. At that point, the writer noted how he currently has a momentum where the story and the characters are just getting jotted down. He says that they almost have a life of their own with a mind to where their journeys will go.
"There’s no writers room, or any other writer involved. I write everything from beginning to end. Maybe it’s just me not being able to let go of something, especially with Peaky. I can’t let it go," Knight said at the time.
"I’m about to start writing season 6 now and if all the wheels fall off, or it goes horribly wrong, there’s probably people that will say something. But at this moment, it has its own logic and momentum. Right now, it feels as if the characters are just writing themselves."
Now, it’s worth noting that it is currently impossible to tell when exactly “Peaky Blinders” Season 6 would be coming out for the simple reason that it isn’t even in production yet. Even the premiere date of “Peaky Blinders” Season 5 is still up in the air, so this is not exactly surprising.
If the usual production schedule is followed, however, fans could expect “Peaky Blinders” Season 6 to come out around early 2021. That might be a long wait, but season 5 can keep viewers company, for now.
