BROOMALL, Pa., Sept. 05, 2017 -- Pawn Plus, LLC, a regional pawn broker and retail chain, continues to build out its plan to grow the chain by appointing key personnel to executive positions. Effective September 1, 2017, Joe Martino assumed the role of President for Pawn Plus, a Hunting Dog Capital venture company.
Martino has operated as the CFO of Pawn Plus since he joined the organization in August 2016. Prior to joining Pawn Plus, he held various executive finance positions at companies in the greater Philadelphia area. Martino is an alumnus of Fox School of Business and Management at Temple University.
“Joe has been a critical factor in our efforts to stabilize the Pawn Plus business and institute a turn-around strategy,” said Chris Allick, Managing Member and Co-Founder at Hunting Dog Capital. “We are excited for Joe to take the helm as President and continue to build out the success of the Pawn Plus chain.”
Pawn Plus has been operating in the pawn loan brokerage business for almost 25 years with 6 locations throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio. Many people depend on Pawn Plus and the services they provide to help them meet daily financial needs not offered by other financial institutions. Pawn Plus customers represent the working families of America who periodically experience an unexpected need for short-term funds or seek quick cash for previously owned merchandise. Pawn Plus helps families through challenging economic times by providing non-recourse, small dollar, short-term loans in addition to a menu of other money management services when they have nowhere else to turn.
“I have truly enjoyed being part of the executive leadership team at Pawn Plus for the last year and am excited to have the opportunity to continue contributing to our future success as President,” said Martino. “We have a strong group of employees that are dedicated and passionate about serving our customers and upholding the Pawn Plus principles. It is not only a great place to work, but also to do business, according to our most loyal customers.”
