User-Driven New Features Empower the Modern Mom
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 25, 2017 -- Mom.life, the app for modern moms, today released a major update. The new features further mom.life’s vision to be the one-stop-shop for everything moms and pregnant women need.
“Mom.life is quickly becoming the go-to app for pregnancy and parenting with off the charts engagement among millennial moms,” said Dee Anna McPherson, president, CMO and co-founder of mom.life. “Our loyal and highly engaged community of moms has given us insight into their needs and we continue layering on new features to make their lives easier.”
Highlights of the new release include:
Intelligent Newsfeed -- Mom.life now delivers a more relevant newsfeed that considers a user’s content preferences, stage of pregnancy or motherhood, as well as location. The improved newsfeed makes it easier for moms to connect with the people and content that matter to them.
Private accounts -- Users now have the option to set their account to private, which allows them to approve their followers. This feature was widely requested by newly pregnant women who wanted to wait until after their first trimester to make their pregnancy known to the broader community.
MomFinder -- Designed to help users find new friends based on common interests and location, MomFinder will now be accessible within the newsfeed. Mom.life users are often looking to connect with other moms who can relate to their stage of parenting, and MomFinder helps them do that.
MomRadar -- This content hub features content from leading parenting media such as Scary Mommy, BuzzFeed Parents and Project Nursery; popular mom bloggers including Pregnant Chicken, Being a Mom, Cat & Nat, and the social media feeds of our favorite celebrity moms.
Mini Apps -- The MomRadar section now offers mini apps with a range of useful functionality. The first few mini-apps to be released include a Pregnancy Tracker, Baby Calendar and Hospital Kit. Mom.life is also teaming up with leading brands to create sponsored mini apps for the mom.life community, which will be released beginning in late Q1.
