The fourth and final season of “Ozark” is coming to Netflix and it is a question if Marty and Wendy Byrde will still be alive at the end. With all the crimes they had committed at this point and enemies they made along the way, they may never achieve their original dream of living a happy and peaceful life with their family.
The official renewal was only announced recently and with that, the series’ final run was also confirmed. “Ozark” season 4 will return with 14 episodes which is longer than the previous seasons that only had 10 episodes each.
These 14 stories would be divided into two parts so there could be a short break after the seventh episode before the next half is released. Showrunner Chris Mundy said that the whole team is happy for another opportunity given to them by Netflix.
“We’re so happy Netflix recognized the importance of giving ‘Ozark’ more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right,” Variety quoted him as saying. “It’s been such a great adventure for all of us both on-screen and off so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible.”
What to expect? The popular theories for the finale
Jason Bateman and Laura Linney will be back as Marty and Wendy Byrde in “Ozark” season 4. It was suggested that the couple will not have the happy ending that they desired since they moved to Ozark. Rather, their lives would be gloomy and based on the turn of events, it could be dangerous as well.
Ben is alive
One of the most circulated theories about “Ozark” season 4 is that Ben, Wendy’s brother did not die. His assassination was staged and in fact, they did not show his actual dead body but all that was shown on screen was a body bag that supposedly contains Ben.
The Sun also pointed out that the show built up too much story around Ben so it is nonsense that they would just kill him off like that. Thus, many audience are convinced he will be back in “Ozark” season 4 for a twist.
Wendy and Marty’s doomed life
The safety of the Byrdes' couple is uncertain since they are now involved with dangerous people and groups too. Marty was once abducted by The money-launderer was not only kidnapped by Omar Navarro, the cartel boss, and he was tortured, beaten and starved and this could happen again in “Ozark” season 4. This time around, Wendy is also in danger and it was predicted that the couple will be killed for the ultimate finale.
