“Orange Is the New Black” season 7 has been confirmed for over two years now. But, for obvious reasons, Netflix is yet to put a specific air date for the seventh series installment. However, many believe that it could be released just after a year.
“Orange Is the New Black” Season 7 Airs July 2019?
Digital content streaming giant Netflix ordered for “Orange Is the New Black” season 7 even before season 4 aired in 2016. And now that season 6 started streaming last July 27, the wait for “Orange Is the New Black” season 7 is officially on. But avid fans of the Netflix Original series may not find it hard to guess when “Orange Is the New Black” season 7 is going to stream.
By simply looking at the track of the previous installments’ release dates, it can be observed that the show takes about a year to return for a new season. With that, several reports are already speculating that “Orange Is the New Black” season 7 is most likely coming out in July 2019.
Taystee’s Fate in “Orange Is the New Black” season 7
Based on how events unfolded in the 13 episodes of season 6, the next major question is what plot lines are going to affect “Orange Is the New Black” season 7. The latest installment is packed with many shocking twists that somehow mirror the current social realities. But one of the biggest events possibly continuing in “Orange Is the New Black” season 7 is Taystee’s (Danielle Brooks) conviction of murder.
Taystee’s biggest conflict in season 6 is the trial of inciting the riot and being accused of Piscatella’s (Brad William Henke) murder. Taystee was initially tempted to accept the prosecutor’s plea deal in exchange for life imprisonment instead of seeking the death penalty.
Garnering support from members of the ACLU and the Black Lives Matter movement inspired Taystee about having a shot at proving her innocence over Piscatella’s murder but pleaded guilty to inciting the riot. But the court, ultimately, ruled Taystee is guilty and she might be facing a death penalty sentence in “Orange Is the New Black” season 7.
