The OnePlus 7 is expected to come out this year and fans are hoping that the Shenzhen-based company will outfit the smartphone with game-changing features. While its predecessor was positively received by the market, it was still lacking in several departments.
One of which is its camera and how poorly the OnePlus 6T captures images in low-light settings. Fans of the series are hoping that the OnePlus 7 will have its Nightscape tech improve at the level seen on Google’s Night Sight and Huawei’s Night Mode. And the company doesn’t even need to outfit the device with multiple cameras either, Android Authority reported.
Pixel 3, for instance, only has a single camera and is one of the best smartphones in the market when it comes to photography. Another request by OnePlus users is the removal of the notch. This feature has been one of the most unpopular designs in the smartphone market and some manufacturers have since removed it from their products.
In lieu of it came the sliding plate and the pop-up camera design seen in Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 3 and the Vivo Nex S. The OnePlus 7 is rumored to adopt the sliding plate where the sensors and front camera will be fitted, Trak.in reported.
But what’s really making the buzz for OnePlus 7 at the moment is its 5G capabilities. It’s being speculated that the next entry for the series will be revealed at the upcoming MWC 2019, which has been scheduled on Feb. 25-28.
If OnePlus 7 does make an appearance during the conference, then the 5G narrative will undoubtedly take center stage for the smartphone. However, given that the company hasn’t officially announced that the OnePlus 7 will have a 5G feature, it’s best to remain skeptical on this front.
As for when consumers can expect the OnePlus 7 to drop, it’s being rumored that it will come out sometime between April and July. This is a reasonable assumption given that the company has been releasing the OnePlus 7’s predecessor on the same time period for several years now.
