With Denjiro augmenting the alliance’s troops by another 1,200 men, it looks like the planned raid on Onigashima will finally push through in “One Piece” chapter 976. The upcoming chapter will also likely reveal what fate awaits Kanjuro who already revealed himself as the traitor.
‘One Piece’ chapter 975 recap
The fight between the Luffy, Law, and Kidd against Kaido’s pirates finally started in “One Piece” chapter 975, which can be read online on MangaPlus. The three were competing against each other as to who can one hit all of their enemies.
Kaidos’ men rejoiced when Kyoshiro’s ship arrives. But instead of siding with Kaido’s forces, Kyoshiro personally attacked them.
Even the Scabbards were confused. Kyoshiro explained that the debt he owed to the Kozuki clan is immeasurable. He then explained that it all started 40 years ago during the Mountain God incident.
Kinemon finally figured it out and asked Kyoshiro if he is Denjiro. The latter confirmed that he is, in fact, Denjiro and explained he did not prematurely reveal himself fearing that the traitor within the Scabbards might tell Orochi.
Denjiro also praised Kinemon for “purposely” misleading Kanjuro into believing that the rendezvous was in Tokage. It turned out that the correct spot was the wharf. Actually, Kinemon made a mistake when deciphering the coded message.
He also revealed that the forces remain intact. Apparently, Orochi acted a bit too late and the bridges were only destroyed after the troops already crossed to the other side. In addition, the ships containing their troops already sailed when the bombers arrived and the ships that were destroyed were not really needed.
‘One Piece’ chapter 976 predictions
The biggest surprise last chapter is that all of the alliance’s forces are actually intact. Not only that, Denjiro even managed to add another 1,200 soldiers.
Contrary to Orochi and Kaido’s expectations, the rebel’s forces did not weaken but have grown stronger instead. Thus, the raid on Onigashima will likely commence in “One Piece” chapter 976.
But before that happens, there’s one minor yet important detail that the Scabbards need to deal with first. The traitor Kanjuro is still holding Momonosuke hostage with the intention of turning the child over to Oden’s enemy, Orochi.
The Scabbards simply can’t let that happen. Thus, “One Piece” chapter 976 will also likely feature how they rescue Momonosuke from the traitor. The manga installment might also reveal more about Kanjuro and a few of the secret skills he might have mastered.
‘One Piece’ chapter 976 release date
Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a bit longer before the next manga installment arrives. Apparently, Oda’s team will be taking a one-week break which means there won’t be a new “One Piece” manga chapter coming out on Sunday, March 29.
“One Piece” chapter 976 release date is scheduled for April 5. The chapter will arrive on MangaPlus the following day.
