‘One Piece' chapter 964 release date, predictions, spoilers: Oden’s adventures as a pirate begins; Meeting with Roger takes place

Many manga readers are likely missing Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates as well as their alliance. However, “One Piece” chapter 964 appears to be an exciting installment as Oden Kozuki officially begins his journey as a pirate.

Chapter 963 ended with Oden meeting the Whitebeard Pirates and boldly telling them how he wants to set sail with them as a pirate. Fans already know that Oden was once a member of the Whitebeard crew. But the events in “One Piece” chapter 964 will likely lead to another important segment of Oden's life as a pirate.

In the years after Oden's death, the manga showed that Whitebeard grew fond of the Kuri daimyo. But it has always been implied that Oden grew closer to the members of Roger Pirates, which was the second crew he joined. It is then possible that “One Piece” chapter 964 will narrate Oden's time with Whitebeard and how he earned the position of being the crew's Division Commander.

The flashbacks to Oden's life as a pirate could be told the same way how he earned the admiration of the Wano citizens. “One Piece” chapter 964 could have a time skip ending with the moment Oden meets Roger. It can be recalled that Oden was a significant member of the Roger Pirates.

The previous events might have been giving manga readers some clues about the present events. Shedding light on how the Nine Red Scabbards were formed could be giving clues as to who the current traitor is. Chapter 963 showed how the Minks are long-time allies of the Kozuki clan, and both parties are sworn to fight with one another whenever necessary. So fans can at least rule out Inuarashi and Nekomamushi as the traitors.

The chance for “One Piece” chapter 964 to bring the readers back to the present is still slim. The Oden flashbacks' endgame could be to enlighten fans how Oden really died at the hands of Kaido as well as how and why Orochi possibly helped him.
