Fans will have to wait some more before going back to the main storyline of the Wano arc. But “One Piece” chapter 957 is still an installment to look forward to, especially considering the important information it will reveal this weekend.
It should be noted that the series, both manga, and anime, are part of the Yonko Saga. This means that Yonkos like Kaido and Big Mom are some of the most important characters in the series right now. So it has been a long-running mystery why Oda decided to hide the bounties assigned to the five Yonkos namely Big Mom, Gol D Roger, Kaido, Shanks, and Whitebeard. Thanks to the leaked spoilers found on Reddit, fans now know this part of the chapter. “One Piece” chapter 957 reveals that Shanks has the lowest bounty of the five, which is currently set at 4 billion de Berries. Gol D Roger has the highest bounty at 5.5 billion de Berries, followed by Whitebeard 5 billion de Berries, Kaido at 4.6 billion de Berries, and Big Mom at 4.3 billion de Berries.
Bounties are set by the government, so in the readers’ perspective, it can be interpreted as the level of threat or power a pirate has established. With that, some fans understand why Oda would assign Shanks the lowest bounty among the five Yonkos in “One Piece” chapter 957. He has the least experience as a pirate and the latest to join the Yonko slate.
