As shown in the preview of “One Piece” Episode 857, Luffy has finally got the upper hand as he continues to pound Katakuri in his Gear Fourth form. Is the fight finally coming to an end?
Well, fans of the source manga already know that Luffy versus Katakuri isn’t ending anytime soon. Luffy’s advantage will not last and the tables are going to turn again once Katakuri recovers his composure. At the moment Katakuri is still distracted after the event of the previous episode and he can’t use his Kenbunshoku Haki properly to predict Luffy’s moves.
Meanwhile, Sanji, Pudding, and Chiffon will continue to work on the cake to appease Big Mom as the Thousand Sunny continues to make its way towards Cacao Island. Outside the Sweets Factory, Pound will run into Oven, and the Netsu Netsu no Mi devil fruit user will throw him out.
In other news, OtakuKart's Wamiq Fida has noted that viewers will continue to see some visually stunning animation sequences in “One Piece” Episode 857.
“The last episode was an animation marvel, and I think every fan agrees that it is 2018’s best animated One Piece Episode. Tomita worked wonders in the episode with his cut, and I absolutely adored Katsumi Ishizuka’s Gear 4 cut,” Fida said.
“As far as I know, one of Toei’s top animators, Tu Yong Ce is going to be heavily featured in the upcoming episode. He has worked on a bunch of episodes in Whole Cake Island already, and some parts at the beginning of Luffy vs. Katakuri were handled by him,” he continued.
“One Piece” Episode 857 is scheduled to air on Oct. 14, and it should be available on all Anime Streaming sites after its premiere in Japan. Fans can also check out the manga if they want to know more about the battle between Luffy and Katakuri.
