A leak scans of “One Piece” Chapter 949 has made its way into the web and confirms that heavy action will indeed be highlighted by the upcoming release. While Luffy and his new allies can easily overpower the Beast Pirates present inside the labor camp, the antagonists will have one ace up their sleeves: plague rounds.

These chemical weapons have already been shown in the previous release but “One Piece” Chapter 949 will be heavily emphasizing how dangerous it is. To make matters worse, the leak revealed that the Udon guards would not be using the rounds on Luffy but on the prisoners instead.

With Luffy promising Kin’emon and Tama that he’ll save the people of Wano, his hands will be tied once the Beast Pirates instructs the infected prisoners to attack the Straw Hat captain. However, “One Piece,” Chapter 949 will show that not everything should be settled with violence.

One Piece Chapter 949 will have Luffy beating up Babanuki

Through Luffy’s speech, the prisoners will overcome the plague rounds and will start to turn their hate towards the Beast Pirates. Sensing that the odds have shifted against his favor, Babanuki chucks a huge amount of chemical weapons at the protagonists. Fortunately, Luffy deflects the weapon and proceeds to dismantle Babanuki in “One Piece” Chapter 949.

After that, Luffy will probably rally the prisoners inside Udon and inspire them to take up arms once more to overthrow Kaido and Orochi. Of course, the prisoners alone will not be enough to stop the oppressive regime. This is where old-man Hyo comes in. While this remains unconfirmed for now, “One Piece” Chapter 949 might hint that Hyo will be rallying forces of his own.

One Piece Chapter 949 delayed due to the team taking a short break

It’s already been hinted that despite being incarcerated for two decades, Hyo’s influence within the criminal underground has persisted through the years. Shinobu even said that the former Yakuza could garner enough samurai that’ll get even the odds against Kaido’s forces. With the combined strength of the Straw Hats, Nine Red Scabbard, and Hyo’s reputation amongst criminals, the people of Wano has finally received the hope that they’ve long lost. As for why “One Piece” Chapter 949 was delayed, Eiichiro Oda and his team apparently took a short break. The next chapter will be arriving on July 21, Comicbook reported.
