‘One Piece’ Chapter 942 Release Date, Predictions: To Feature Flashback, Tonoyasu Apologizes for Harshness as Lord

The previous chapter of “One Piece” revealed that Tonoyasu is actually a thief by the title of the “Witching Hour Boy” and also used to be a former lord by the name Yasuie. Upon his capture, he declared that he would have a few things to say and apologize for. This led to some speculations that he will be saying sorry for his behavior when he was still a lord, thus resulting in a flashback chapter.

Flashback episodes are hardly rare occurrences in the “One Piece” universe and they often provide a good sense of where characters are in terms of perspectives. In the case of “One Piece” Chapter 942, it is predicted that the flashback will be to offer a window into the life of Wano before Kaido. It’s just unfortunate that fans will need to wait for a while for it to come out due to the delay, OtakuKart reports.

As per predictions by fans, Tonoyasu will essentially ask for the forgiveness of the people for his actions when he was still a lord. As the previous chapter revealed, he was deemed as a harsh ruler; quite the departure from his current affable nature. It’s expected that “One Piece” Chapter 942 will elaborate on this particular point and point out exactly how bad of a ruler he was.

From there, Tonoyasu will then declare to Orochi that the same fate will await him and Kaido once the people rise up against their tyranny. The fact that the samurai alliance and the Straw Hats are known to him will probably fuel his conviction that the end of their rule is coming. Just to put everything into perspective, “One Piece” Chapter 942 could then end with Luffy busting out of prison.

For now, all of these are just predictions of what will happen in “One Piece” Chapter 942. With the chapter scheduled to come out on May 13, fans have a lot of time to devise creative predictions for the manga.
