The first being the fact that Luffy’s Elephant Gun attack has absolutely no chance of hurting Kaido. The second is the possibility of the pirate emperor having another final form that is even more powerful than his dragon transformation.
As GameNGuides notes, anyone who believes that the attack that Luffy launched actually hurt Kaido is deluding themselves. The pirate emperor has repeatedly been called the most powerful being in the universe of “One Piece” and has already been depicted as invincible. If falling all the way from Sky Island did not even dent this character, he will only shrug off Luffy’s punch in “One Piece” 923.
The Straw Hat pirate, on the other hand, will be in a much bigger bind in “One Piece” 923 and will likely need assistance in escaping. There is no chance that Kaido is going to let the insult directed at him slide and Luffy is going to be in a world of hurt after recklessly launching an Elephant Gun punch at him. Making things worse for the aspiring pirate king is the possibility that Kaido has one more transformation in him.
Luffy’s only chance to survive this encounter with Kaido in “One Piece” 923 is to run. Law will likely try to help his comrade do so, OtakuKart reports but will need to escape the enraged pirate emperor in the process. If fan speculations about another ability by Kaido to transform is true, it might be much harder for the Straw Hat captain to escape his wrath.
Is it possible that Kaido is stronger in humanoid form than he is as a dragon? “One Piece” 923 might hold the answer to this question when it releases on Nov. 5.
