EVANSVILLE, Ind., Aug. 29, 2016 -- Old National Bank (NASDAQ:ONB) has been honored as one of the nation’s 60 Best Banks to Work For in 2016. Old National ranked No. 2 in the category of large banks with more than $10 billion in assets, and No. 50 overall. ONB is featured in the August 29th issue of American Banker magazine.
In addressing Old National’s inclusion on its Best Banks list, American Banker noted the company’s ONe Wish program, which offers associates the opportunity to nominate their co-workers facing hardships to receive financial assistance from a special ONe Wish Fund.
“Being honored as one of American Banker’s ‘Best Banks to Work For’ is a testament to the passion and dedication of our associates and the culture of teamwork and community engagement that differentiates Old National,” said Bob Jones, Chairman and CEO. “Our associates are our most valuable resource and their satisfaction and loyalty are vital for our continued growth and success.”
The Best Banks program, which was initiated in 2013 to identify, recognize and honor the best banks to work for in the nation, is a project of American Banker and Best Companies Group.
Determining the Best Banks to Work For involved a two-step process. The first step consisted of evaluating each participating bank’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics, which was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of employee surveys aimed at assessing the experiences and attitudes of individual employees with respect to their workplace and was worth 75% of the total evaluation.
