More than three years have passed without any official update on the making of “Now You See Me 3.” This has started speculations that the movie series ends with only two installments. But there are other possible reasons why the project does not seem to progress at this point.
One of the best aspects of the first two movies was its cast. It included some well-known actors from other blockbuster hit films, but that also meant that scheduling a filming period with all of them together can be challenging. That could be one of the reasons why fans have not heard much about “Now You See Me 3” yet.
‘Now You See Me 3’ cast: Who will return?
In the first two movies, the main cast members were Mark Ruffalo, Morgan Freeman, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher who was replaced by Lizzy Caplan in the sequel. Ruffalo was busy with the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies in recent years. As for Eisenberg and Harrelson, the two can be watched in the upcoming “Zombieland 2.”
However, since their movie will premiere in October, that could open an opportunity for the making of “Now You See Me 3” to push through. Unfortunately, this will remain speculation until the start of production is reported. On the bright side, there is also no news yet that the movie series has been canceled.
A couple of years ago, there were rumors that Fisher is coming back for “Now You See Me 3” while Caplan will reprise her role. Also, one of the widely shared rumors about the movie is the addition of another MCU star, Benedict Cumberbatch. But an official rep of the actor has yet to confirm the reports.
‘Now You See Me 3’ possible release date, plot: What to expect
Given that the production of “Now You See Me 3” has unlikely started, there is no way of knowing when the third movie is going to be released. But what fans can look forward to is the next film’s plot since Morgan’s Thaddeus Bradley was confirmed to be a member of the Eye.
