In anticipation of the Olympic Games, Nike debuts the Pegasus 2K5 in its "Be The One" collection and the Air Max 90 LV8 in "Red Stardust" for Fall 2024, blending nostalgic designs with modern flair.
Nike Celebrates Olympics with ‘Be The One’ Collection Featuring the Pegasus 2K5
In the Olympic Games, which will take place later this month, Nike has developed a variety of product lines to commemorate the international sporting event and its eternal significance. The Beaverton brand's "Be The One" collection is quietly evolving. According to Sneaker News, the Nike Pegasus 2K5 is currently experiencing a resurgence in a similar design to the two Air Force 1 colorways unveiled.
The circular stamp on the tongue, adorned with metallic gold in a distinct nod to Olympic medals, is the defining feature of all "Be The One" colorways. Like the aforementioned AF1s, the edges are adorned with sun-inspired detailing, including the text "Be The One." A winking visage is also visible beneath the text.
Except for that unifying feature, all "Be The One" colorways previewed thus far have chosen their color palettes. The Swoosh and specific midsole areas are a vibrant cyan hue, while the white cage, toe cap, and mesh base starkly contrast the navy-blue underlays.
This is the first time the Pegasus 2K5 has been included in a collection since Nike reintroduced it at the beginning of the year, particularly for the archival model. This move has generated excitement for several other recently released colorways that are set to debut in Fall 2024.
Sneakerheads should anticipate the release of pairs for $150 in the coming weeks, inspired by the Olympics. However, a later Fall 2024 release may likely occur.
Nike Air Max 90 LV8 ‘Red Stardust’ Joins Fall Lineup with Romantic Ambiance
The Nike Air Max 90 LV8, previewed in anticipation of Valentine's Day, has maintained a romantic ambiance as the holiday has receded into the past. The silhouette's signature style has evolved into a combination of deep reds and rich creams, a claim further substantiated by the most recent colorway, "Red Stardust."
The shoe generally adheres to a relatively conventional AM90 script; it is a three-color weave that spans from the eponymous pink to pure platinum white and off-white beige. However, the new additions to the model are more easily identifiable due to the simplistic palette. The Swoosh transitions from a fully shaded to a mere outline, and a grid-like pattern occupies the bottom layer. The platform sole is self-evident, and the double-decker Air sphere remains the most striking feature of the shoe.
The Nike Air Max 90 LV8 "Red Stardust" is expected to be released as part of Nike's Fall lineup. Upon realization of this combination, expect a retail price of $145.
