The New Orleans Pelicans have renewed their local broadcast rights partnership with Bally Sports New Orleans, the local network managed by Sinclair’s Diamond Sports Group (DSG).
Under the new agreement, Bally Sports New Orleans will continue to provide coverage of around 75 regular games of the NBA team each season, on top of select preseason fixtures and the first round of the playoffs.
As part of the extension, starting with the 2022–23 season, all Pelicans games will be streamed on the Bally Sports+ direct-to-consumer (DTC) platform.
In addition to producing the live broadcasts, Bally Sports New Orleans will offer additional programming around games and the Pelicans Insider magazine show.
Dennis Lauscha, president of the New Orleans Pelicans, said that their main priority in entering the deal was the distribution and the ability to deliver their games directly to their fans,
He added that the excitement about the Pelicans grows daily and it is their job to not only bring content to their fans but also unfettered access to watch games.
