‘New Girl’ season 6’s episode 10, entitled “Christmas Eve Eve,” will follow Jess as she struggles with her Secret Santa duties. When Nick helps make Jess’ Christmas memorable, Regan shows up. Megan Fox is set to return as Regan for the season’s winter finale episode.
The synopsis for “Christmas Eve Eve” posted on Spoiler TV reads, “Jess (Zooey Deschanel) struggles to keep the loft's Secret Santa gift exchange afloat.
When Winston (Lamorne Morris) believes his online gift order for Cece (Hannah Simone) won't be delivered in time, he and Schmidt Max Greenfield) must endure going to an actual store to find a replacement gift. Meanwhile, Reagan (Megan Fox) surprises Nick (Jake Johnson), who helps makes Jess' Christmas one to remember.”
According to Entertainment Weekly, Nick’s long-distance love Regan is set to make a comeback on the series after being absent for most of season 6. It was revealed that Jess was the one who asked Regan to visit Nick for the holidays as a last-minute Secret Santa gift.
In the new photographs, Regan is seen donning a short Santa Claus costume as she surprises her boyfriend. The reunited lovers look happy as they celebrate the festivities together.
Fox’s return to the sitcom was announced last year. She was first introduced as Reagan to fill Deschanel’s spot on the show following her maternity leave. Reagan is a pharmaceutical sales representative who moved in the L.A. loft and had a brief romance with Nick.
Executive producer Dave Finkel revealed that although Jess still had feelings for Nick, she wanted to be a good friend to him no matter what. Finkel said, “That’s always going to be in the back of her mind, but the thing with Nick is she’s living under the umbrella of, if things are going well with Nick and he’s happy with Reagan, she’s not going to be the one to tear them apart… She puts friendship first.”
‘New Girl’ season 6’s episode 10, entitled “Christmas Eve Eve,” is scheduled to air on Fox on December 13, 2016.
