Napster and TerraZero Technologies have created a Metaverse where fans can interact with their favorite music artists. The companies said they would offer immersive virtual experiences while transforming the music fandom and activating monetization on the platform.
First Featuring Artist on Napster’s Virtual Hangout
Napster and TerraZero, subsidiaries of BIGG Digital Assets software company, will set up Metaverse on Napster. This will be a virtual hangout space for music artists, and initially, the new platform will feature Ric Wilson, as per Venture Beat.
The collaboration signed R&B artist Ric Wilson to be the first artist on the launch of Napter’s Metaverse. The companies are hoping that this will induce a transformative shift in how fans and their favorite artists connect via immersive digital hangouts.
Expansion of Virtual Hangouts
Fans and Ric Wilson can chat on the Napter’s digital platform. Users will also be able to listen to his music while they navigate through the space. Wilson is also set to launch his new single and perform live here.
Later, Napster and TerraZero will add more artists and expand the hangouts by introducing games with prizes. The sale of concert tickets and physical and digital merchandise will also be available soon.
“Napster has a rich history of empowering music artists, giving them innovative and creative ways to interact with their fans while also providing new monetization opportunities,” Napster’s chief executive officer, Jon Vlassopulos, said in a press release. “Previously these kinds of virtual metaverse style worlds have only been available within platforms like ‘Fortnite’ and ‘Roblox’ but now anyone will be able to access these fun, engaging artist hangouts straight from their browser.”
TerraZero Technologies’ CEO, Dan Reitzik, also said, “Napster has always been the original innovator in the music space so partnering to bring immersive virtual experiences to life that leverage our Intraverse Technology Platform for their millions of users, made complete sense.”
He added, “Ric Wilson is a fantastic artist to represent our first foray together in delivering online virtual hangouts to music fans on a leading Music DSP and the best part is we’re just getting started.”
