“NCIS” Season 16 is almost here, and a lot of details about the upcoming season are already dribbling down to the masses. Among the most recent developments that have gotten fans hyped is the return of an old guest star who has not made an appearance on the show since 2011. Those who have seen Diona Reasonover’s performance of the guest character Kasie Hines might also like to know that she has been made a series regular.
In a recent tweet, actor Chad Lindberg revealed that he will be making a return as Joey Peanuts in “NCIS” Season 16. As of this writing, there has been no confirmation as to when exactly he will be making his appearance, but it will mark his return after seven years of absence.
“After 7 years, it was a tremendous honor to walk in Joey Peanut's Shoes again today. Thank you @NCIS_CBS for having me back, and for always being a class act,” the tweet reads.
As CarterMatt points out, the last time that Chad Lindberg made an appearance on the show was during the episode titled “Baltimore.” It was a pivotal episode as it revealed quite a bit about the past of Anthony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly). Considering that the agent is no longer on the show, it’s possible that Joey will only be making a brief appearance.
Someone who might be sticking around a bit longer, however, is Diana Reasonover. As Deadline reports, she was just promoted to series regular from being a temporary replacement of Abby (Pauley Perrette). This means that “NCIS” Season 16 will see a lot more of her, which should be good news for those who have become fans of hers.
“NCIS” Season 16 is set to premiere on Sept. 25. Fans of the most popular drama series on U.S. TV will definitely want to note down that date.
