“NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 6 is titled “Pounds of Flesh” and it appears to be a literal reference to the team’s upcoming case. Actor Geoffrey Owens’s highly anticipated guest appearance debuts in this installment as well.
The kidnapping of Ginny Young (Christina Smith), Pride’s (Scott Bakula) assistant, is what leads the team to their next case. Luckily, Ginny will be able to outsmart her captors, escape, and show the team where to start gathering information, thus opening a new case in “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 6.
Following the said kidnapping, the team finds enough evidence to conclude that Ginny’s kidnapper has a gorier purpose. The case in “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 6 will center on a criminal who captures people and steals their organs.
Unfortunately, the episode teaser reveals that it will be a little late when the agents find out about the human organ thief. The synopsis indicates that there are already “multiple victims” upon the beginning of their investigation in “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 6.
While the team hunts down the human organ thief, Pride confronts his ongoing struggles. It appears that he is still having a hard time moving on from the events that almost cost him his life. Hoping to find unbiased and meaningful advice, Pride makes contact with a long-time friend, Commander Calvin Atkins (Geoffrey Owens).
The same episode teaser suggests that there are a number of things Pride would like to discuss with Calvin. Aside from the emotional and psychological struggles caused by a failed assassination in the season 4 finale, the attack also takes a toll on Pride’s health. The viewers will most likely get to understand more of this aspect in “NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 6.
“NCIS: New Orleans” season 5 episode 6 is likely going to offer more clues on what will shape Pride’s future decisions, especially regarding his job at NCIS. “Pounds of Flesh” will air on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
