Deku and Shigaraki are still fighting and everyone can just imagine how bloody it has become now. Bakugo may step in as well as the villain is getting more powerful after being overtaken by All For One.
Chapter Recap
In the previous “My Hero Academia” chapter 286 titled “The Ones Within Us,” Deku witnessed how Bakugo was stabbed when Tomura Shigaraki launched an attack. Bakugo stepped in because he wants to help Deku who was fighting the strong villain on his won.
Bakugo seems frustrated that Deku wants to stop Shigaraki on his own. Then again, Bakugo is now injured and it was fortunate that Shoto Todoroki was there to save him. At this point, many of the heroes, including Eraser Head, Gran Torino, and Ryukyu, are already in pain due to their injuries.
Many of the residents of Jaku City were also hurt when Gigantomachia and the League of Villains entered the vicinity to meet Tomura. The heroes can’t afford to have more people, and their colleagues get hurt and this is why Deku is in rage to bring down Shigaraki.
While in a battle with Deku, the giant servant of Tomura Shigaraki is heading to where is which is bad news. Gigantomachia has not found his master yet but he picked up his scents which suggest they would be meeting very soon if the heroes will not be able to stop Tomura.
Now, during the fight in “My Hero Academia” chapter 286, Shigaraki is now demanding to acquire the One For All quirk. But of course, the Deku will not give it to him.
At one point, when Deku was moving towards Shigaraki, he tripped but his opponent was not able to take advantage and attack. This was because someone appeared behind Deku and told him “Let us handle this” and the identity of the person was revealed to be Nana Shimura.
Spoilers - what to expect
In the upcoming “My Hero Academia” chapter 287, it was predicted that Deku and Shigaraki’s battle will stop because of Nana’s arrival. On Reddit, it was suggested that Tomura may come to his senses and he may even end up being friends with Deku which will be a wild twist. The reasoning behind this is the fact that Nana is Tomura’s grandmother.
Nana is very hurt to see how his grandson ended up to be a villain. With that, Tomura may have a change of heart and realize that what he is doing is all wrong.

“My Hero Academia” chapter 287 will be posted on VIZ Media on Oct. 1, as per Otakukart. There will be no delay this week so the release schedule is proceeding as usual.
