The “My Hero Academia” chapter 270 release date has been delayed due to the Golden Week celebration in Japan. With the long wait, fans had to while away their time by coming up with all sorts of exciting speculations for the upcoming chapter, some of which will be discussed below.
Gigantomachia wakes up
Most fans believe that it’s only a matter of time before the powerful villain Gigantomachi awakens. In fact, there are those who believe that the villain might already wake up in “Boku no Hero Academia” chapter 270, which could threaten the lives of the pro-heroes currently in the Paranormal Liberation Front’s headquarters.
“Gigantomachia waking up is a given,” Reddit user bomberbih wrote on the site. “In prior chapters, he was holding a cassette player or something similar waiting for orders.”
Shigaraki awakens as well
It was already revealed that Gigantomachia is only awaiting orders from Shigaraki. If the former wakes up in “MHA” chapter 270, it also means that Shigaraki had to awaken from his coma-like state as well.
However, there are a few different theories as to how the villain might awaken. Some fans believe that it will be accomplished by a quirk implanted within the slumbering villain. “A quirk placed within Shigaraki reawakens him and he goes nuts,” Redditor ShadowRei96 predicted.
Others believe that Shigaraki will have the help of another strong villain to help him awaken. “I think AFO[All For One] makes his final move to save Shiggy [Shigaraki] before the turrets turn him into mincemeat,” Redditor kj9219 wrote.
Dabi, Tokoyami and Hawk
Meanwhile, some fans believe that “My Hero Academia” chapter 270 will leave readings wondering what happened to Shigaraki and the Pro-Heroes back at the lab. The plot for the upcoming manga installment will probably ditch the action inside the lab and shift focus to the fights going on at the Paranormal Liberation Front’s headquarters.
Specifically, it could feature a fight between the villain Dabi against the pro-heroes Tokoyami and Hawks. Fans might even get to see Tokoyami unleash a totally brand new move.
“The chapter will be focusing on Tokoyami vs Dabi,” A4li11 wrote on Reddit. “We got some flashbacks on Tokoyami's internship with Hawks. The chapter ends with Tokoyami unleashing his new move on Dabi.”
“My Hero Academia” chapter 270 will arrive on May 11 on Mangaplus.
