To anime fans, the finals scenes of the season 3 finale might not make that much sense. But to those who have also been following the manga series, they have most likely realized by now that it provided a good teaser for “My Hero Academia” season 4.

The said scenes included a meeting and an interview with several villains present, among them was Kai Chisaki a.k.a. Overhaul. He is going to be the main antagonist for the most part of “My Hero Academia” season 4.

The complete appearance of Overhaul has also been previewed in the latest “My Hero Academia” season 4 trailer. One of his known abilities is to fuse with Shin Nemoto. This gives him two more arms and spiked claws. He can also fuse with Rikiya Katsukame that also gives him another terrifying form with claws and a huge body that looks similar to a stone.

Meanwhile, “My Hero Academia” season 4 is going to be another opportunity for fans to witness new Quirks from their favorite heroes. While the entire franchise has been likened to Western superhero-themed comic books, there is no doubt the ideas the series creator Kohei Horikoshi has for Quirks have been unique.

“Back when the series first started, sometimes in order to move the story forward or make sure characters fought, that is how Quirks were sometimes inspired,” Horikoshi said during a panel at the 2018 San Diego Comic Con. “But, since then, it has been more of a "light bulb’ or "Ah Ha" moment — by being inspired by the things around me.” For example, the “My Hero Academia” creator revealed that Gran Torino’s Quirk was realized while he was in the shower. “I looked at the shower head and was like, 'Oh, that would be cool… for something to come out of his feet.' Like, have propellant coming out of them. So, that is how his Quirk was inspired.”

“My Hero Academia” season 4’s premiere has been delayed. But the good news is it’s confirmed to be released in October.
