“Mortal Kombat 11” has recently released its second additional character in Nightwolf, with several others slated to join the fray as well. While NetherRealm has made an effort to keep the remaining characters a mystery, a recent gaff on the studio’s part confirmed the rumors that’s been persisting around the title.
Thus, it’s now official that “Mortal Kombat 11” will be adding Terminator, Sindel, Joker, and Spawn in the coming months. The T-800 will arrive on Oct. 8, Sindel is slated to drop on Nov. 26, Joke will come out on Jan. 28, and Spawn will be joining on March 17.
Other “Mortal Kombat 11” characters that have been rumored to arrive is Sheeva, Fujin, and Ash Williams. The three remains unconfirmed for now but seeing that the other six has been right on the money, there’s a high chance that the yet-to-be-announced fighters will be joining the brutal tournament as well, Comicbook reported. (See the full design here.)
Mortal Kombat 11 will not be adding Ash Williams
For Sheeva and Fujin, at least. Ash Williams will unlikely make his way to “Mortal Kombat 11” on account that Bruce Campbell himself said that it’s not going to happen. The popularity of the brutal fighting game has been increasing in recent months what with all the content and tournaments that have been proliferating in both casual and professional scenes.
Mortal Kombat 11 and the minor criticism about the DLC release
And with the Terminator being released two months from now – complete with Arnold Schwarzenegger's iconic look – “Mortal Kombat 11” will only be making bigger waves moving forward. But there has been criticism from some members of the game’s player base, with complaints stemming from the fact that Spawn will come out nearly a year after the game’s launch.
Another issue is how NetherRealm designed Joker. With the studio being able to utilize Joker designs what with them developing “Injustice” and all, some are wondering why the psychopathic antagonist is looking a bit lackluster. This is especially true since joker from “Injustice 1” was given quite the makeover by the developers. In any case, “Mortal Kombat 11” is moving forward with its choice and it would be interesting to see how these upcoming additions will shake the current meta.
