Nintendo and Capcom have a treat for avid fans of the “Monster Hunter” series starting this week. A free demo for the upcoming “Monster Hunter Rise” is now available to download, but it can be accessed for a limited time only.
‘Monster Hunter Rise’ demo: Everything Switch players need to know
As promised, the free “Monster Hunter Rise” demo went live on Thursday and can now be downloaded by Nintendo Switch players. The trial is completely free of charge and interested gamers will only need a Switch console and an active Nintendo account to start the download.
Once players are logged in to Nintendo.com, they will only have to open the official “Monster Hunter Rise” page and click the “Download demo” button. It can be found on the right side of the page below the title and release date and beside the “Add to Wish List” option.
The free “Monster Hunter Rise” demo can only be accessed through the rest of January. The demo expires on Feb. 1 at midnight PST. Based on the official page, the demo will let players try the game’s solo and multiplayer mode. Two training quests, including learning how to ride a Wyvern, are included in the playlist. There will also be Beginner and Intermediate quests available to play while the demo is still live.
‘Monster Hunter Rise’ gameplay: What to expect
“Monster Hunter Rise” will introduce a new location called the Kamura Village where most of the action will take place. Players should expect the game to feature ninja-inspired themes while staying true to its title as most of the quests deal with slaying or hunting down monsters.
To accomplish the main goal, “Monster Hunter Rise” players will have to learn to collect materials and craft weapons and tools to increase their chances of succeeding. There are also elements from the environment that players can use against the monsters. All these should be available through the free demo.
‘Monster Hunter Rise’ release date
Capcom announced that “Monster Hunter Rise” will be released on March 26 only on Nintendo Switch. It will cost $59.99 and is now available to pre-order to acquire bonus items, including the Palamute Retriever Costume layered armor, Palico Forest Cat Costume layered armor, and Novice Talisman
