“Money Heist” season 4 is coming, and this was made possible by the record-breaking viewership ratings that were obtained by the previous season. Apparently, the last installment was well-received that it led to its renewal early on.
Variety reported that the third season broke records by attaining high viewership results in just the first week after it was released on Netflix. It is now the streaming platform’s most-watched non-English drama of all time. The Spanish series is also popular in Chile, Portugal, Argentina, France, Brazil, and many more.
Based on the records, “Money Heist” season 4 was renewed after details revealed that season 3 is being watched by at least 70% of Netflix’s subscribers. The streaming site has over 24 million registrants, so it means millions of households are staying tuned to “La Casa de Papel.”
Plot prediction
Although there are no exact details yet about the plot of “Money Heist” season 4, it is predicted to be as exciting as the previous installments. Also, everyone is expecting it to pick up where the finale of season 3 left off. This means the time when Nairobi was shot in the window - what will happen next will be shown in the upcoming chapter.
Also, El Profesor, who has come to believe that Lisbon is dead, may be surprised to see her alive in a possible plot twist in “Money Heist” season 4. In the trailer, Netflix teased fans with the words, “Prepare for the chaos."
The cast
A few people have died or have been shot in “Money Heist” season 3, so there could be some characters who are leaving. Based in the teaser and some info that was previously released, the confirmed cast who are returning include The Profesor/Salvador Martin (Álvaro Morte), Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó), Denver (Jaime Lorente Lopez), Helsinki (Darko Peric), Nairobi (Alba Flores), Monica/Stockholm (Esther Acebo), Raquel/Lisbon (Itziar Ituño), Bogotá (Hovik Keuchkerian), Palermo (Rodrigo de la Serna), Marsella (Luka Peros), and Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri), the negotiator. Although Nairobi was shot in S3’s finale, the teaser showed her profile, so it can be assumed that she lived.
As announced by Netflix, “Money Heist” season 4 will be released on April 3, 2020.
