Michael Schumacher’s friends have been coming out and telling people to respect the F1 legend’s family. They want privacy with regards to Mike’s health condition and his friends and colleagues want fans to understand this plea and give way to the request.
Fans have been asking for updates about Michael Schumacher’s health ever since he figured in a freak skiing accident on the slopes of French Alps in 2013. They are demanding to know how Schumi is doing, but while there may be people who are genuinely concerned, others may just want information out of curiosity.
But regardless, Michael Schumacher’s family decided to keep quiet. When the racing icon was first reported to have been gravely injured, his family released updates through their spokesperson. But after a few weeks, they shunned the media completely. Since then, very little has been known about the state of Schumi’s health and fans have been begging the family for information, but to no avail.
According to a recent report by EconoTimes, French motorsports executive Jean Todt was the latest person close to Michael Schumacher who issued a statement, asking fans to let the racer’s family live in peace. He then shared that he is lucky to be allowed to visit Mike but declined to say more other than “he is surrounded by his family.”
Now, these pleas for fans to stay away and not bother the Schumacher family anymore made some people think and debate if Michael Schumacher’s condition should be made public or not. One reader of Wheels24 thinks that the family should at least give an update so that the fans will understand.
He reasoned that if the family reveals Michael Schumacher’s true state, then it will clarify everything. Perhaps, later on, the fans will eventually stop asking. Lastly, the media and the paparazzi might also stop following the racer’s family once they get some answers, so revealing his condition could be a good idea too, the reader said.
