Michael Schumacher’s family finally opened up about the legendary Formula 1 racing champ’s health condition. The family has been keeping his condition a secret since his skiing accident in 2013, but it seems they are more open now when they agreed to film Schumi’s life story through a documentary.
Now, it was said that in the film, Schumacher’s wife Corinna was interviewed and she has spoken about her husband’s current health. She did not really explain how he is in detail, but her words are enough to let everyone know that Schumi has not recovered yet.
In the documentary simply titled “Schumacher,” Corrina said that she is not losing faith that Michael will one day fully recover his health and get back to the way he was before he was severely injured in the accident that happened more than five years ago.
"Michael is a fighter and will not give up," RSVP Live quoted Michael Schumacher’s wife as saying to the interviewer in the documentary film.
Moreover, aside from this big reveal about Michael’s current health, Former Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone was also featured in the movie, and he seems to have provided another important clue about Michael Schumacher’s condition. However, it was not really good news to the fans as the former boss seems to have suggested that the F1 champ is still not fully aware of his surroundings.
"He is not with us at this moment,” Ecclestone said. “But when he is better, he will answer all the questions."
UK’s Express reported that Bernie Ecclestone’s words came from the preview of the “Schumacher” documentary so this is something legit and not simply hearsays or rumor. His statement, aside from Corrina’s is a big hint about Schumacher’s real health situation today.
Clearly, Michael Schumacher still needs to be cared for by professional health providers, and it is likely that he can’t walk yet as well. Meanwhile, fans can watch the full documentary before the year ends as it was scheduled to premiere on Dec. 5 in Switzerland and Germany. Fans worldwide will have to wait for a later date, and it could be distributed by Netflix or Amazon.
