Michael Schumacher: Did Lewis Hamilton already replaced the F1 legend as the best racer? Ayrton Senna says he did

Michael Schumacher

Michael Schumacher has reigned as the best F1 racer of all-time and he was recognized as the world’s no. 1 for years. But since he retired in 2012 and never resurfaced again in the racing world since his serious ski accident just a year after his retirement, many promising racers have started to make names.

Schumi’s ex-colleague thinks Hamilton is the world’s best now

As a result, it was said that Lewis Hamilton is now the best racer and he has already surpassed Schumacher. Eddie Irvine revealed that another legend, Ayrton Senna, shared to him that with Hamilton’s consistent wins in the car racing tournaments, Hamilton is now better than Schumacher, GP Fans reported.

Senna is Michael Schumacher’s former colleague when they are still with Ferrari. He said that someone better among the younger racers showed up and now, he has taken over the “best” position from Schumi. Lewis Hamilton was recently declared as the second-best when he caught up with Schumi’s record and placed no. 2 with the most F1 racing wins, and now he is being praised as the “better” driver than the 50-year-old retired driver.

"Hamilton is the best racer ever, much better than Schumacher in the wheel-to-wheel duel, much better than Senna," Irvine was quoted as saying. Then again, there is no formal record yet about this and currently, Michael Schumacher still reigns as no. 1 in the F1 racing sport.

Where is Michael now?

Since his freak accident in December 2013, Schumacher has not been out in public. His condition was also kept a secret through the years and this is something that disappointed the fans. His family wants a media blackout with regards to Schumi’s health because according to them, it was Michael’s own wish.

With no news about how he is doing, people only get some updates through his friends and based on what has been revealed so far, Michael is “still fighting.” Whatever these words mean is not clear but it can be assumed that he is recovering and continue to receive treatments.

As to where he is today, he is believed to in his home in Switzerland where he is allegedly being cared for by private doctors and other health professionals. He has been staying here since he woke from his coma in 2013, and now doing some rehabilitation activities, Express reported.
