There have recently been conflicting reports with regards to former Formula One superstar Michael Schumacher with regards to his current whereabouts. Following an unfortunate skiing accident, the racing legend has been suffering from severe brain injuries that required round the clock treatment. For the winter, it was reported that he had been relocated to Majorca but other reports suggest that this is not the case.
As Stuff reports, the former F1 ace turned 50 back in January and the family reportedly spent that day in Majorca, Spain. The family of Michael Schumacher supposedly owns a villa there that was bought for a whopping $50 million. There have even been statements from neighbors suggesting that the injured racer was brought there via helicopter.
If this was the case, it would make sense since bringing Michael Schumacher to the area via land transport would be too cumbersome considering his condition. His brain damage appears to be quite severe even if the family has desperately tried to hide how bad it is since the racer sustained it. However, there have also been reports from local publications that claim the family is no longer in the area.
For some context, Michael Schumacher essentially got involved in an unfortunate skiing accident that left him with severe damage to his nervous system back in 2013. Since then, the public figure has been kept away from prying eyes and only periodic updates can be expected from the family. This is understandable since they would not want to tarnish his image.
After becoming Formula One champion for seven times, Michael Schumacher has gained a coveted position in the industry’s history as one of the best racers of all time. His family would undoubtedly want the world to remember him as that glorious figure instead of the ill and bed-ridden patient that he has become.
