Spicy Chicken McNuggets have returned to select McDonald’s locations across the U.S. for a limited time, delighting fans with their crispy tempura coating and cayenne-spiced kick. First introduced in 2020, these fiery nuggets have remained a customer favorite, though they’re not here to stay.
Spicy Chicken McNuggets Return to Select McDonald’s Locations, Bringing Heat to Classic Flavor
McDonald's has rolled out countless limited-time offerings over the years, but one item many customers feel deserves a permanent place on the menu is the Spicy Chicken McNugget. While McDonald's hasn’t made these fiery nuggets a year-round staple, fans will be pleased to know they’ve returned to menus for another limited-time run.
Starting November 4, Spicy Chicken nuggets (490 calories per 10-piece order) will be back at select McDonald's locations across the United States. According to McDonald's USA, the nuggets will only be available in certain regions, including Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Memphis, and New York. Breaded in a crispy tempura coating and seasoned with cayenne and chili pepper, Spicy Chicken nuggets add a bold kick to the classic McNugget experience.
Spicy Chicken McNuggets Make a Limited-Time Comeback, Thrilling Fans with Perfect Heat
First introduced in 2020, Spicy Chicken McNuggets quickly became a customer favorite, with initial stocks selling out within weeks. High demand has led McDonald’s to bring them back several times since, though only for limited periods. They last appeared in spring, but like the current release, availability was restricted to select locations, leaving fans eagerly awaiting their subsequent return.
Food blogger Snackolator recently shared excitement about the nuggets' comeback on Instagram, noting that they "have a nice level of spice that certainly isn't going to burn your mouth, but is clearly superior to normal McNuggets." As with previous launches, Spicy Chicken McNuggets will only be available for a limited time at participating restaurants, so customers are encouraged to check with their local McDonald’s for availability.
McDonald's Expands Menu with Dulce de Leche Frappé and Nationwide Debut of Chicken Big Mac
The spicy nuggets aren’t the only recent addition to McDonald's menu. In late October, the chain debuted a Dulce de Leche Frappé (630 calories per medium), combining a Caramel Frappé base, coffee, and dulce de leche-flavored syrup, topped with whipped cream and crunchy caramel pieces.
Additionally, McDonald's introduced the Chicken Big Mac (700 calories), a twist on the classic Big Mac that substitutes tempura chicken patties for beef. Although previously available in select international markets, this is the first time American customers can enjoy the Chicken Big Mac nationwide.
With various new options on the menu, McDonald’s fans have plenty to try, though they’ll need to act fast before these limited-time items disappear.
