Global fintech matchmaking firm, Matchi has joined hands with ATB Financial and KPMG Canada in order to run a Customer Onboarding Innovation Challenge for fintech firms.
The Innovation Challenge aims to re-imagine customer onboarding and management by collaborating with fintech firms.

The Customer Onboarding Global Innovation Challenge by ATB has four challenge categories. In the first category, ATB is looking for innovative fintech solutions that deliver Seamless KYC process across channels and devices. Secondly, ATB is looking for a fintech solution that helps automate and optimize onboarding and fulfillment processes and the third challenge seeks solution to effectively manage the interaction flow of information within its ecosystem of service providers. The final challenge looks for fintech solutions that leverages advanced and emerging technologies to support identity management for the future.
“The Canadian banking system is recognized as one of the strongest in the world and has been ranked the soundest by the World Economic Forum for seven consecutive years,” David Bolton, Financial Services Partner, KPMG. “This fintech challenge is a unique opportunity to promote innovative solutions to this market and support a major Canadian financial institution in their strategy, to enhance the customer experience and achieve new levels of operational performance.”
The Challenge will close for entry on 19 April 2017 and is free to enter, open to any firm that has developed and built a solution that aligns to one of the four categories mentioned. The prospective entrants will be validated by KPMG and Matchi analysts and then individually scored by a panel of executives from ATB Financial, the release stated.
In each of the four categories, the highest ranking fintech firm will be invited to pitch their innovative solutions to a panel from ATB Financial, KPMG, and Matchi. This expert panel will in turn select at least two as the ultimate winners.
Winners of the Customer Onboarding Global Innovation Challenge by ATB Financial will be offered the opportunity to prove the value of their innovative solutions along with a paid proof-of-concept project at ATB Financial.
