“Mario Golf: Super Rush” update 2.0.0 is the biggest patch released for the game after it launched in June. Aside from some general changes, it is also loaded with new gameplay features and content.

One of the highlights of the “Mario Golf: Super Rush” version 2.0.0 is the addition of online Ranked Matches. This means players who have access to the game’s online features, which requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership, can now play against other fans close to the game stats they have achieved.
“The goal is to improve your global ranking from ‘C-’ to ‘S+’ based on the number of monthly match points you accumulate from the results of your matches,” Nintendo said in the patch notes. If only a few players are queuing for Ranked Matches, the game will still link players with an opponent, but Nintendo said there will be a handicap to make the match as fair as possible.
“Higher ranked players will be behind you on the tee,” Nintendo cited as one example. But if lower-ranked players end up winning the game, they will receive a bonus on their monthly match points.
The much-awaited arrival of Toadette as a playable character is also included in the “Mario Golf: Super Rush” version 2.0.0. Toadette becomes the character with the highest control rating in the game, but her power stats are much less reliable.
The “Mario Golf: Super Rush” update 2.0.0 also adds a new playable golf course called New Donk City. This is perfect for players looking for a short session as it only features 18 Par 3-rated holes. Players can also set the difficulty to either Amateur or Pro in this course.
How to update ‘Mario Golf: Super Rush’
Like most games these days, updating “Mario Golf: Super Rush” is quite easy. To check if the game already has the latest patch, players can check its version number on the title screen when loading the game.
If the game has yet to be updated, players need to make sure their Nintendo Switch console is connected to the Internet. They should then go back to the home menu and relaunch “Mario Golf: Super Rush.” Doing so should automatically download and install update 2.0.0.
Updating the game to its latest version is good for a number of things. Aside from having access to its latest online features, “Mario Golf: Super Rush” also requires that all players are running the same version of the game before they can enjoy the local wireless play.
