Twins Marcus Morris and Markieff Morris’ contracts are about to expire and it’s still uncertain where the two are headed. Right now, news about the duo is centered on them switching agents.
In the past, Marcus Morris and Markieff Morris were represented by Leon Rose of the Creative Artists Agency. But the twins have opted to part ways with the agent and decided to sign with agent Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group, NESN reported.
Both Marcus Morris and Markieff Morris have been an integral part of their respective teams as the two have proven to be solid NBA players. The two played as starters for the Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards, providing support to their teams so that superstars are given more room to operate in.
Marcus Morris and Markieff Morris’ playstyles are centered on tough basketball where the two constantly get physical with the opposing team. As such, they’re usually seen pushing and jawing with other players on the paint, fighting through screens, and making sure the other side’s main scorer doesn’t find his rhythm.
Marcus Morris averaged 13.6 points per game and 5.4 rebounds per game with a 42.9 field goal percentage last season. And sticking with the twin stereotype, Markieff Morris’s stats is similar to his brother as he averaged 11.5 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game with a 48.0 field goal average.
Marcus Morris has been said to be the lesser of the two but has proven critics wrong as replays show he’s more flexible than Markieff Morris. Marcus has shown he’s a far more versatile player and can effectively stretch the floor to provide more room for his teammates on the paint and perimeter.
As for Marcus Morris and Markieff Morris' new agent, Paul handles a few highly valued players in the league, including Ben Simmons, John Wall, and the legendary Lebron James. It’s still unclear where the twins are going when their contracts expire next summer, although Markieff previously said he wants to stay with the Wizards.
However, if Paul can find him a better contract then Markieff Morris will surely change his tune. There’s also the possibility that Markieff and Marcus Morris will be playing on the same team soon as they had in the past when they signed with the Phoenix Suns.
