GLEN ELLYN, Ill., Aug. 02, 2017 -- On a daily basis, the consultants at Magenium are busy providing information technology solutions for businesses around the country – helping companies move forward faster by steering them on the right course. Reducing risk. Driving revenue. At this year’s DuPage County Fair held in the Chicago suburb of Wheaton, IL, Magenium was involved with a slightly different kind of technology – albeit still about driving.

One of the most popular attractions at the fair is the Fast Action Motorsports NASCAR simulator and remote-control NASCAR track car racing venue. Featuring a banked course mimicking a real racetrack, participants choose from a variety of cars to drive. An exciting new entry this year, drivers had the option of choosing a Magenium Solutions sponsored car. It is custom decaled, featuring the company’s logo, colors and tagline: “Move Forward with Technology.”
Much like a NASCAR race, kids of all ages were challenged to navigate around the track, attempting to make it to the finish line first while avoiding other cars and obstacles. This free attraction was located on the lower end of the fairgrounds and was open all five days of the fair for those who wanted to try their hand behind the wheel. During the event, up to 64 people at each tournament competed for 9 trophies and a spot in the Grand Championship on the last day of the event. Each tournament had up to 9 races that were about 8 laps each. All races were “called” by race commentators during the exciting action.
“We were glad to see our car consistently at the top of the leaderboard. Magenium Solutions strives to be ahead of the curve when it comes to all things tech, and our car was no different,” said Tom LaMantia, Managing Director.
The DuPage County Fair was held July 26-30 at the DuPage County Fairgrounds. Annually, the Fair is host to more than 120,000 attendees, providing family friendly entertainment, education, carnival rides, food and events. In its 63rd year, the fair is one of the state’s most popular summer attractions.
