(MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services, cybersecurity and product solutions, announced today that President and Chief Executive Officer Sid Fuchs recently delivered a Leadership and Networking presentation to judges, attorneys and employees working for the Departmental Appeals Board (DAB), a subdivision of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Mr. Fuchs was invited to speak to more than 90 agency employees on Wednesday, June 7 as part of DAB’s newly-developed leadership speaker series.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is charged with enhancing and protecting the health and well-being of all Americans, and fostering advances in medicine, public health and social services. The department manages 11 operating divisions including the Departmental Appeals Board. The board’s mission is to provide impartial, independent review of disputed decisions in a wide range of programs under more than 60 statutory provisions.
Mr. Fuchs is a widely-recognized pubic speaker, thought leader, and the author of “Get Off the Bench” with more than 30 years of executive leadership and National Security experience leading companies and organizations ranging in size from $100M to more than $1.5B in annual revenue. His presentation covered a wide range of career-building topics including how to foster and maintain strategic networks over the long-term, career development, the value of mentoring people and relationships, and how to cultivate community outreach in any government, military or industry environment.
“My goal, whether presenting to industry executives, government employees or academia, is to have an open dialogue about what a successful professional network looks like in today’s landscape,” said Mr. Fuchs. “With the growth of instant networking via social media, mobile applications and other virtual tools, the challenge is helping career-focused industry professionals learn how to maintain those networks over time, and mold them into successful and productive relationships throughout their careers.”
