“Lucifer” Season 4 will be changing the dynamic partnership between Chloe (Lauren German) and Lucifer (Tom Ellis). Now that the detective has confirmed her suspicions that her partner is a supernatural being, the story will revolve around her coming to terms with this fact, Radio Times reported.
Indeed, showrunner Idly Modrovich said that Chloe will have difficulty comprehending that Lucifer is actually the Lord of Hell himself. It goes without saying that this is a huge plot development for the supernatural series. But it’s also something that the showrunners have been planning for quite some time. Aside from this change, however, fans should expect more alterations in “Lucifer” Season 4.
Showrunner Joe Henderson said that they will stay close with the general formula of the drama but would be intensifying certain elements. “Our blood can be a little more real, our horror can be a little more horror-y,” Henderson explained. “It will all stay within the language of the show, but we’re definitely going to embrace the little things like that, that I think make a big difference.” In short, audiences should expect more gore in “Lucifer” Season 4, TVInsider reported.
Fans will also be treated with more nudity in the upcoming installment as has been confirmed by Ellis. The actor explained that when the show was aired on FOX, there were certain restrictions that they have to follow given that they’re being handled by a television network. “Lucifer” Season 4 will not be bound by such restrictions since Netflix is well-known for encouraging gore and nudity to its other shows.
“Narcos,” “Altered Carbon,” and “Sex Education” are just some of the many series in the streaming platform where violence and revealing scenes are a constant. As for the release date of “Lucifer” Season 4, Netflix hasn’t announced anything yet. But given that filming has already wrapped, it wouldn’t be long before it is released. Show star Ella Lopez even speculated that it could arrive sometime between April and May.
