‘Lucifer’ season 2’s episode 8, entitled “Trip to Stabby Town”, is set to feature Lucifer as he hunts down the stolen Azrael’s blade. The lethal blade was connected to a series of violent killings in the city. Meanwhile, Charlotte is intent on convincing her son to return to Heaven with her.
The synopsis for episode 8 posted on Carter Matt stated, “After discovering that Azrael’s blade has been stolen by a human, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) quickly connects it with a string of violent stabbings revolving around a local yoga studio. While Chloe (Lauren German) investigates the murders, Lucifer enlists Ella’s (Aimee Garcia) help in locating the sword to stop the carnage.”
It seems that much of the incoming episode’s plot will involve Lucifer’s search for Azrael’s blade, a divine weapon wielded by the Angel of Death, who also happens to be his and Uriel’s (Michael Imperioli) sister. Lucifer previously revealed that anyone killed by the use of the blade will be wiped out completely from existence and cannot be resurrected.
Uriel previously ventured to earth in attempts to eradicate Charlotte (Tricia Helfer), the Mother of Angels, by means of Azrael’s Blade. However, Uriel’s plan failed and was eventually killed off by Lucifer during a confrontation.
The promo for “Trip to Stabby Town” features a different side of the story. It opens to Charlotte telling her son that they need to return to where they came from. When Lucifer confronts her about what she wants, she replies, “I want my family back!” Lucifer insists, “I am not going back to hell!”
Charlotte tells her son, “This is about Heaven. It’s about going home.” However, Lucifer is not convinced. He fires back, “This is my home!”
According to International Business Times, Lucifer and Chloe may be sharing a number of scenes together. She previously told him that he should return to where he came from to be with his family but he was resolute in telling her that Earth is his home.
The preceding episodes followed Lucifer as he works on becoming a better human being despite being evil. He even showed his friend Dr. Linda (Rachael Harris) his true demon self to which he was utterly rejected.
Lucifer abdicated his throne in hell to visit Earth. He then became a consultant for the Los Angeles Police Department, who works on cases with his friend detective Chloe Decker, and is becoming accustomed to life in the human world. He also runs a nightclub called Lux with his loyal ally and confidante, the demon Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt), who followed him from hell.
‘Lucifer’ season 2’s episode 8, entitled “Trip to Stabby Town”, is scheduled to air on Fox on November 14, 2016. It was directed by Nathan Hope and written by Jeff Lieber.
