“Lost in Space” season 2 is still happening so fans who have been worrying for its cancellation should calm down now. The show’s creators and showrunners even shared that they have been working on the series’ story and they are excited about its return.
The series’ renewal
Also, “Lost in Space” season 2 has been renewed in May 2018 and this alone already confirmed that it will be back. Apparently, many people are starting to think that it has been pulled out from the programming because the renewal took place more than a year and yet the sci-fi drama is still in production until now.
“Lost in Space” season 2 writer, Matt Sazama said in an interview that they had started the production even before they get the green light from Netflix. He then assured that the viewers would see more adventures as the Robinsons family works together to survive on a new planet where their ship brought them.
“We are working on scripts and hoping that we’re ready to go,” Cinema Blend quoted Sazama as saying. “We’ve had a lot of thoughts about it, and hopefully, if everyone watches it, we’ll get to see more adventures of the Robinsons, because we do have some crazy stuff planned out that we really hope we get to film.”
The cast - Who will be in the series?
The cast of “Lost in Space” season 2 will include the whole Robinsons family - John (Toby Stephens), Maureen (Molly Parker), Judy (Taylor Russel), Penny (Mina Sandwell), Will (Max Jenkins), June Harris (Parker Posey), Don (Ignacio Serricchio), and the Robot. According to The Hashtag Show, new characters will also be added in the upcoming episodes like Commander Jiang, who is the commander of the Resolute.
Leaked release date
Meanwhile, Netflix has not yet announced any premiere date for “Lost in Space” season 2 however, there were reports that it will be arriving in November. This date has been suggested after Amazon posted the “Lost in Space” novel on its site and noted that its release date coincides with the debut of “Lost in Space” season 2 on Netflix, as per The Digital Wise.
